Rambling Roses
My current on the hook project is a wedding gift for the daughter of one of my oldest friends. A Filet crochet table runner that is coming along much quicker then I thought it would.
At this point I am now 3/4 of the way done with the main part. There will be a nice edging to soften the edges when it is done.

On the Hook
Using the left over yarns from my previous afghan and some linen colored yarn I already had on hand I started this afghan for a cousin who is expecting her fifth child this summer. I am loving how it is turning out and visualize other color ways for this pattern as I work on this one.

V-Stitch Baby Afghan
A sweet friend is expecting her first baby in a couple of weeks and following the new trend, decided to be surprised as to the gender of this little blessing. In anticipation of today's baby shower for this new mom, I made a lovely gender neutral afghan using a V-stitch design.
When I first began this afghan, I did not have the pink and found that it was looking decidedly male rather than gender neutral. So, at the first opportunity I headed to Jo-Ann Fabrics to grab some pink and found that it did the trick in softening the overall look.

Doilies
I did up a couple doilies to include with some Easter gifts this year. The larger of the two was quite interesting to do as it had several stitches in it I had never seen before. Once I figured them out it went together easily.

Red, White and Black Ripple Afghan
My son's class is doing a "Movie Night" theme for their class basket for the auction and so he asked if I would make an afghan to go in it. I decided to do it in the school colors.

Flocking Together
I started the new year with the goal of completing a Christmas gift each month. So for this month I started this fillet crochet project from an old issue of Decorative Crochet. At this point I am just over a third of the way through the pattern.

Ruffle Scarfs
I think I may be a bit addicted to making these. I made my first on about three weeks ago and have made 10 more since. Once I pick one up I have a hard time putting it down until it is finished. They make fantastic Christmas presents.

Having Fun With Hats
My niece as well as my husband's boss are both expecting baby boys. I could not resist making some hats for the little guys to use this fall and winter but think I may have gotten a bit carried away. Oh well, they was loads of fun. Just need to put the eyes on the puppy hats.

Christmas Presents
I have slacked a bit on the blog but not on the projects. Here is a peek at some of the items I worked on for Christmas.
coordinating pillowcases for my girls
For a co-worker who loves frogs
Also for co-worker
Hopscotch and Twilight for my 14 year old son who has been hinting for a couple years now that the quilt he has had since he was 3 is just too babyish
For another co-worker
and this one is for #2 son who loves to snuggle under quitls and afghans while he reads or watches TV
I forgot to get photos of this one before packaging it for Christmas and so this is him on Christmas day. He spent the entire day wrapped in it as well as everydday since then.

Butterscotch
I have named this afghan such because that is the color name of the yarn I selected for it. It looks great in my family room with the Nice Jane fabrics I have been using here.

New Afghan Love
Well this seems to be my year for doing afghans. With the crazy schedule I have going this year with working and the kids school schedules, afghans are so portable. I just completed another and I LOVE it. I do not recall what book I copied the pattern from but I think it is my new favorite. It was unbelievably fast (less then a week start to finish) and so simple. A great combo if you ask me. Even better, it looks good and is snuggly warm for curling up on the couch and watching a movie or reading a book.

White and Aqua Easter Attire
Crochet Sweater was made using a free pattern from Lion Brand Yard, I believe. They were very quick to make and the pattern was easy to follow.

A Little of This and That
I had a rather productive day putting together some little gifts for a friend of Ivy's for her birthday party and using up some scraps.
These hats and little purse are on there way with Ivy Girl to her best friend Ivy's birthday party. Isn't cute that two best friends share the same name?!
I used up some scraps from the purse to make these little tiny treat bags. I Believe the pattern came from Happy Zombie.

Warm Wishes
I usually keep one project that I work on primarily at work, usually something crochet or embroidiered. For the last month and a half that project has been an afghan for my aunt and uncle in California. I did not grow up knowing them but since I married and moved here they have been a special part of my life and I wanted to do something to show them how much I love them. My aunt loves blue and white and that is the primary color scheme within their home. Coming across an afghan in a Vanna White afghan book I have that was in just such a color pallette I just had to give it a go. The results are beautiful and this treasure will be on it's way to California with the morning post.

Another Bobble-licious Bag
Mum is expecting some visitors soon and they will be bringing their 4-year old daughter withthem and so she wanted a little gift to give her when she came to visit. I quickly whipped up the wonderful Bobble-licious bag for her to give the little girl. The bag is lined with fabric that has little kittens playing with balls of yarn.
