Pinwheels In The Works

I made a pinwheel sampler quilt from this fabric back in the spring for my daughter's teacher and was so excited that there was enough to make a second quilt from it since it turned out so beautifully. Well I finally have gotten started on it and am just as pleased the second time around.

Crochet Heart Banner

Using a tutorial found on Skip to my Lou, I have made several of these crochet heart banners.One for the house and three others to include in Valentine's gifts I will be giving out this year. They are super quick to make and loads of fun.

Could Not Resist

...making a couple more bags with the remnants of this fabric. Sarah was invited to attend a birthday party for a friend and so we decided to make another of the lunch bags to double as a gift bag and part of the birthday gift. There was just enough remaining of the fabric following this to make a cellphone purse that I took in to a coworker to give to her daughter.

Lunch Bag

After seeing the super cute lunch bags on Pinterest that Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet made using Ayumi's tutorial I just had to make one. I had promised one of my daughters a scripture bag and thought this would be perfect. Using some remnants from outfits I did for the girls a couple of weeks ago and some coordinating fabric leftover from another project this is what we have:

I added a pocket on the inside to hold a pencil/pen and her Faith in God booklet

Flocking Together

I started the new year with the goal of completing a Christmas gift each month. So for this month I started this fillet crochet project from an old issue of Decorative Crochet. At this point I am just over a third of the way through the pattern.

A Bit of Sewing

My sewing Machine has been in the shop for the last three weeks getting serviced and a few repairs and boy did I have withdrawals. Nothing like not have your sewing machine on hand to let you know just how much you use it on a daily/weekly bases. I am so happy to have it back and already have a long list of projects I can't wait to tackle.
The first of these projects is this dress and skirt for the girls.

 Followed by these "fancy trash bags" that I made for a couple of friends who enjoy sewing.

Pink and Grey

Another fall posting that got missed, this quilt was made for a co-worker's daughter. This particular co-worker asked me early last year do make a quilt for each of her three daughters. This one was the last of the three and was completed in September.
I loved how easy and quick this was to make but yet pretty at the same time. It has me thinking that the girls need new quilts for their beds.

Butterscotch and Roses

Some how I missed posting about this project back in the fall so I thought I'd share it now. I shared the quilt top back in August while it was in progress but here it is with a few pillows/cushions I made with the scraps. The pillows and quilt went to a co-worker, the pillows for her birthday in September and the quilt for Christmas.

Barbie Has A Closet

When I made the barbie dollhouse I left the seventh room undeclared so that the girls could choose what they would like it to be. An office, a nursery or perhaps a closet. They chose a closet and so we spent this weekend constructing it and installing. Here is a look at what we have so far:

We are looking at getting the vanity that the guy who made the furniture makes to add to this room as well as some hooks on one of the walls to hang hats and purses.
